Old Faithful Geyser
Old Faithful is basically a cone geyser in the park and it derived the name during the Washburn-Langford-Doane Expedition in 1870.
This geyser gets erupted every 35 to 120 minutes shooting nothing less than 14,000 liters of water to a height of 106 to 185 feet high. It lasts from 1.5 to five minutes. Steamboat Geysers in the Norris Geyser Basin are part of Yellowstone US National Park.
Yellowstone Lake
Yellowstone Lake without any doubt is the largest water body in the park covering an area of 350 square kilometers. In winter from December last week, the lake freezes with ice nearly 3 feet thick and remains frozen until May or June.
Yellowstone Caldera
It’s a supervolcano in the park, also referred to as Yellowstone Supervolcano and they account for 1000 to 2000 measurable earthquakes tremors a year although they are relatively smaller with a magnitude less than 3 on Ritcher Scale.
