WhatsApp is one of the most popular messengers used in the smart phones across the globe. Using WhatsApp, the users can not only send and receive text messages but also share photos, videos and voice chats with friends and family. The availability of WhatsApp across multiple platforms makes it more popular among the smart phone users. Unlike other messenger systems like Yahoo, GTalk, Facebook, Skype, etc, WhatsApp users are not required to sign up by divulging their personal details. To communicate using WhatsApp, the users are required to have SIM card. The advantage of this procedure is that the users are not required to provide any personal information for registration. The contacts in the phone/SIM card gets copied in the contacts lists of WhatsApp.
Since the contacts are driven from the directory of the phone or SIM card, the users face problems when they switch their phones or change number. The contacts which are saved in WhatsApp get disappeared when they try to access the app from other phones. When a contact does not appear in the contact list, and then make sure that the contact’s phone number is added in the address book. Adding the phone number is not enough; friend whose contact is added should be a Whatsapp user. In the Android phone book, all contact groups and all contact accounts (SIM, Google and Phone) are viewable or visible.
