Starting November 30, 2024, Ukrainian viewers will gain access to two new TV channels from Maincast Studio, a venture spearheaded by prominent investor and entrepreneur Maksym Krippa. According to Mahmo.org, the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting has approved this groundbreaking initiative. On November 7, Maincast LLC was officially granted licenses to launch Maincast Sport and Maincast channels.

The channels will operate 24/7, available through OTT platforms and cable providers. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Ukrainian television, particularly in the niche of esports and sports broadcasting.

The Vision Behind the Project

Businessman Maksym Krippa is driving a transformative shift in Ukrainian media through his investment in Maincast Studio. The company seeks to elevate the Ukrainian language by adopting forward-thinking content strategies and simultaneously appealing to an international audience. These new channels have the potential to reshape esports and sports broadcasting in Ukraine, unlocking unique opportunities for growth in the media sector.

The launch of Maincast Sport and Maincast is not merely a business endeavor—it’s a strategic contribution to national media, providing content tailored to modern viewer demands.

Content and Strategy

Maincast Sport will specialize in sports programming, spotlighting Ukrainian athletes’ achievements. In line with its growth plans, the channel aims to expand into international markets by offering broadcasts in Polish shortly.

The Maincast channel will deliver diverse entertainment content featuring analytical shows, interviews with esports icons, and reviews of top-tier games. Its programming is designed to captivate a broad audience, making esports more accessible and engaging.

Commitment to the Ukrainian Language

One of the standout aspects of these new channels is their exclusive use of the Ukrainian language. Co-founder Vitaliy Volochai underlines that promoting Ukrainian-language content remains the company’s core mission, and substantial investments have been channeled into this initiative.

Pioneering Digital Solutions

Maincast plans to launch a dedicated sports OTT platform, Maincast.tv, alongside the TV channels. Initially, premium content will be offered free to maximize user acquisition. Over time, the platform will implement subscription-based access, ensuring the monetization of its unique offerings.

With this ambitious expansion, Maksym Krippa’s Maincast Studio is poised to shape the future of Ukrainian television and esports broadcasting.
